Enjoyable experience, the hotel is intimate with beautiful location to attractions like Stone Town or spice plantations. The room is a nice size and huge with 1 large water bottle. Everyone is extremely well trained and service-oriented and owner too. The service at the lounge area is GOOD.

great beach access and nice dining experiences
I thoroughly enjoyed my time here, especially the very nice views of the Indian Ocean and the attentive service from the staff during our meals, consistently excellent and offered a variety of choices. The ability to walk along the beach at low tide for what was like miles made for a perfect way to explore and unwind.

The food was great, and we loved the beautiful ocean view and calm atmosphere. We also visited Uroa Bay Beach for its spa and tennis courts. Just keep in mind that there weren't enough beach umbrellas for all guests. A wonderful getaway!
The road leading to the resort had severe potholes, made getting there a bit challenging. Fixing this would.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will love it
The location and staff at this hotel make it a special place. The beach was amazing, soft white sands and turquoise waters, perfect for lazy days under the sun.
It wasn't cheap, but for what you get, it's totally acceptable.

We had an amazing family trip with our dogs at this beautiful beach hotel. The atmosphere was relaxing, the beach access was fantastic, and we enjoyed delicious meals. The kids particularly loved playing by the shoreline while we took morning coffee on our terrace.
In my kids' opinion, a kids' club or activities would be great.

The beach at Pongwe Beach Hotel offers fine white sand and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. Lounge chairs by the infinity pool allowed me to soak in the sun with a drink in hand, heavenly. The staff were mostly cute and eager to assist. Meals prepared by the chef were consistently delicious and varied each day. I particularly enjoyed the fresh seafood and the vibrant flavors during theme nights. My room was comfortable, yet the air conditioning could have been better, as it felt a bit warm at times. An area for improvement lies in the service speed during peak dining times. A couple of times, I waited longer than expected for my order, which disrupted the flow of the meal. The beach does face challenges with tides. Expect to deal with some noise from the kitchen during certain hours. The hotel promises a luxury experience, yet some amenities felt slightly dated, and some areas needed maintenance.
